NHS 70th anniversary: Seacole statue celebrates the contribution of healthcare workers from all nations, says MST Chair

Commenting on the 70th anniversary of the NHS, Trevor Sterling, Chair of the Mary Seacole Trust, said:

‘We are delighted to celebrate the 70thanniversary of the NHS. This landmark occasion is all the more special given that we now have an historic statue of the nurse Mary Seacole at St Thomas’ Hospital as a symbolic representation of the contribution of so many people, from so many countries, who have helped enable our caring and compassionate NHS to continue to be the pride of our nation.’
